TORONTO, ONTARIO – OCTOBER 7th, 2022 – Take charge of your journey in life and enjoy every moment behind the wheel. The Lexus ES series blends refined looks, a dynamic and responsive driving experience, and advanced yet intuitive technology. For 2023, Lexus Canada enhances the ES portfolio with new packages that introduce more aggressive styling and performance choices.
“For many of our guests, the ES series is their introduction to the Lexus family – and this elegant sedan is designed to welcome Canadians to all the joys of owning and driving a Lexus,” said Martin Gilbert, Director of Lexus Canada. “This year, we’re delighted to offer guests three new models that draw on our race-inspired F SPORT design and engineering – including two new, powerful and efficient, self-charging hybrid electric models.”
The 2023 ES series features an artfully designed, exceptionally engineered, coupe-like body – notable for its long and wide stance, elegant profile, dramatically slanted roofline, LED headlamps, and the signature Lexus Spindle Grille. The available F SPORT models add a more aggressive expression to the ES body with a special appearance package and larger 19” alloy wheels.
Inside, the ES rewards its driver and guests with a cabin defined by attention to detail and an innate sense of harmony. Sculpted seats hold driver and passengers in firm comfort. The thoughtfully designed cockpit places all instruments and controls within the driver’s natural field of vision. Interior finishes convey a sense of handcrafted comfort.
A luxury driving experience demands a well-engineered powertrain – and the ES series offers not one, but three powerful choices:
- ES 250 AWD models are built around an efficient, 203 peak horsepower 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine also paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission – plus the Lexus Dynamic Torque All-Wheel-Drive System. This intelligent system is able to seamlessly adjust torque from 100 per cent to the front wheels, to an even 50:50 front:rear split. The result is exceptional control and stability when accelerating or cornering on wet or snowy roads, plus improved overall fuel efficiency.
- ES 350 models feature a 3.5L V6 generating 302 peak horsepower, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that delivers precisely timed shifts.
- ES 300h models feature a self-charging hybrid electric powertrain built around a 2.5L 4-cylinder Atkinson Cycle engine and motor-generator system that delivers 215 net horsepower. Paired with a continuously variable transmission this powertrain delivers a smooth, responsive, and engaging driving experience plus exceptional fuel efficiency and extremely low emissions.
Every 2023 Lexus ES series luxury sedan also features the new Lexus Interface connectivity and multimedia system, including a range of connected services, all controllable via touchscreen or voice commands. Exceptional safety is also standard on every ES series model, starting with Lexus Safety System+ 2.5. This bundle of advanced safety technologies and capabilities designed to enhance protection and support driver awareness and decision-making.
